Who I am |
5150 is a number that I go by. Main reason was that I found love to be destructive and can make a person do odd things both, positive and negative. The number is a police code that stands for someone who is a danger to himself or others. I started to use this number when I was 13 years old. I got it from Van Halen, album title and song that are about love. I have this number tattooed on my left wrist.
I work in the TV/film production industry. The most recent notable production jobs I worked for were MTV’s Catfish, The Bachelor, and Ghost Stalkers on Destination America. The positions I officially held were production assistant, but I was also unofficially hired as a grip. The past year I’ve been working for a local group called Truth Point Media as a grip. Most of our clients are local, which include Fareway and Hy-Vee. My mother, Mary Goose, was in the TV/film industry. I would visit her on set when I was young, usually on Saturdays. When I was 17 years old, I was hired as her craft service assistant. Since that time, I usually get on the average of six to ten jobs a year related to the industry. I attended Des Moines Area Community College for two years after high school. Then started to attend ISU for Aerospace Engineering. I went back and forth between colleges the past few years. I’m currently a senior. The fall of 2014 I officially transferred to Journalism and Mass Communication. Due too financial reasons I only had enough grants to graduate in Journalism and not enough to grad in Aerospace Engineering. before I run out. I have received a few associate degrees and a certificate from DMACC. Many outcomes I want to achieve with the Journalism degree. One variation is to graduate, then sign up for the United States Air Force as an officer and complete four to six years of service, then go back to college to get my Aerospace Engineering degree. Another variation is to get the Journalism degree and continue working in the TV/film industry. My main goals are becoming director of photography, screenwriter, director, grip, and producer. I have received an award once for my photography for the Iowa State fair. I love the sciences and mathematics; Star Trek was a big influence on me. I’m a second-generation Star Trek fan. I would like to one-day work for a Star Trek production and also a science show of some kind. I would spend many hours since I was young watching documentaries. I would love to inspire future generations the way I was by astronomy, physics, math, science fiction, astrophysics and science in general. I was raised by my mother and born in Des Moines, IA. I’m a full Native American but with various different blood quantum levels. meaning officially I have three tribes in me, but only two recognize me due to the tribes requirements. The tribes I’m with are: Meskwaki, associate member; Canadian Blackfoot, tribal member; and Chippewa, and the tribe acknowledges I have blood relating to it. But I consider myself Meskwaki since I was raised as one. |
